    Trampoline Buying Guide for Northern Ireland

    There are four decisions: how the trampoline sits in the garden, its shape, its size and which BERG range. This guide takes them in that order. Every price is the current price on TrampolinesIreland.com, in euro, where orders are placed.

    1. Above ground, InGround or FlatGround

    This is the decision that affects cost and effort most, because two of the three types need groundwork before the trampoline can go in.

    Above ground

    Stands on legs on the lawn. BERG calls these Regular. No groundwork is needed.

    Always sold with a safety net.

    FlatGround

    Sits completely level with the lawn, so there is no step up and no ladder. Needs groundwork.

    Round models are sold without a net. On the larger rectangular models a net is optional.

    A trampoline set into the ground catches far less wind than one on legs, and a FlatGround keeps the view of the garden. A safety net still catches wind whichever type it is fitted to.

    We supply and deliver but do not install. For an InGround or FlatGround the groundwork is done by an installer, landscaper or builder who looks at the garden and quotes for it, so get that quote before you order. See who installs a trampoline in Northern Ireland.

    2. Shape

    BERG's names tell you the shape: Grand is oval and Ultim is rectangular. The shape decides which sizes and types are open to you.

    3. Size

    Start with the space, not the trampoline. Measure the part of the garden you have in mind and note anything close to it, such as fences, walls, sheds, trees and overhead branches. BERG's manual gives the free space needed around each model, and we check it against your garden in the consultation.

    As an example of how price moves with size, the round above-ground Favorit with a safety net runs from €449 at 200cm to €869 at 430cm.

    Not every size is made in every type. If the size you want is not listed on the InGround or FlatGround page, ask us before assuming it is made.

    4. Range

    BERG makes four ranges. These are BERG's own specifications.

    Champion and Elite share the same springs and mat. Elite differs only in heavier frame tubing and a padding warranty of 5 years against Champion's 2. Favorit, Champion and Elite carry the CE mark and the GS mark (TÜV).

    Favorit is not made as a FlatGround, and Pro Bouncer is not made as an InGround or in round or oval.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What size trampoline should I buy?▾
    It depends on the space you have. Round BERG trampolines run from 200cm (6.5ft) to 430cm (14ft), and oval and rectangular models go up to 16 x 16ft. BERG's manual gives the free space needed around each model, and we check it against your garden in the free consultation before you order.
    What is the difference between Favorit, Champion and Elite?▾
    Favorit has SoloSpring springs, the AirFlow mat and a frame warranty of 5 years, 8 when registered. Champion has TwinSpring springs, the AirFlow Pro mat and a frame warranty of 10 years, 13 when registered. Elite has the same springs and mat as Champion, with heavier frame tubing and a 5 year padding warranty against Champion's 2 years.
    Do I need a safety net?▾
    Above-ground BERG trampolines are all sold with a safety net. InGround models are sold with or without one. Round FlatGround models are sold without a net, and on the larger rectangular FlatGround models a net is optional. Models with SPORTS in the name are the ones supplied without a net.
    Is a FlatGround the same as an InGround?▾
    No. A FlatGround sits completely level with the lawn. An InGround is set into the lawn with a low raised edge. Both need groundwork, which is done by an installer, landscaper or builder. We do not install.
    What colours do BERG trampolines come in?▾
    Grey, green and black. This site lists the grey models, so ask us about other colours.
